Project Reslience: No One Walks Alone
Wednesday Oct 20, MDAM westman was invited by the RHA conference organizer to display materials and be present at Project Resilience: No One Walks Alone . This was an in-person event featuring on-going speakers and displays. It was for current and retired military, police, fire, and first responders. It was quite well received by the target population.


Men's Workshop Group
MDAM Westman's men's workshop group with the dog houses they have built for delivery to Northern communities. This project is a partnership between the MDAM men's workshop group facilitated by Brent Rosnoski, BNRC (Brandon Neighbourhood renewal Creation Nation Makers' Space), local realtor Zak Munn, and the Brandon Humane Society. This is the second shipment of houses they have completed and are currently building on a third right now.

Peer Support and Services in the Westman Region
Soul Sisters
Tuesday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00 am. This is a "coffee and conversation" support group for women experiencing mood disorders, low mood, or the frustrations and concerns of Covid-19. It is a group of women helping women through sisterhood and connection. This group does not meet on statutory holidays. (No charge for this group)

Brandon Men's Activity Club
Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30 pm in person at the BNRC Creation Nation Maker Space in Brandon, Manitoba. It is a group aimed primarily at men 40+ but those younger are welcome as well. The group fosters socialization and connection amongst men in a workshop setting. This group does not meet on statutory holidays. (No charge for this group)
